What Is The Best Hand Cream For Gardeners' Hands?

What Is The Best Hand Cream For Gardeners' Hands?

What Is The Best Hand Cream For Gardeners' Hands?

From what it’s made of to what it does, Skin Salvation is the ultimate treat for hardworking hands.

Locally grown herbal tinctures

At the heart of the balm are our lovely biodynamic herbal tinctures, which are grown for us in the UK, providing bees and butterflies with pesticide-free fields of chamomile, calendula, chickweed and nettle.

These herbs were chosen for their fantastic anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and anti-itch properties, all of which are really useful for gardeners battling with itchy plants, insect bites, cracked skin, cuts and grazes and all that good old dirt that a day on the allotment can throw at them!

A beeswax barrier to protect skin

Because it’s also made with unprocessed beeswax from a small-scale family farm in Sussex, Skin Salvation works as an effective barrier cream, protecting skin from damage and irritants. The hemp seed, olive and safflower oils feed the epidermis with the nutrients it needs to repair and regenerate damaged skin.

A night-time application of Skin Salvation after a day digging and hoeing can soften rough skin, soothe itch and inflammation, and protect open cuts and grazes.

Intensive Hand Cream

Balmonds Intensive Hand Cream also contains those magical tinctures, but is made with soft, creamy shea butter instead of beeswax and enriched with brilliantly nourishing sea buckthorn oil. This makes it a great daytime cream for those who have to wash their hands often and find the soap and water dry their skin out.
